This specific recipe uses a flavorless collagen powder. Collagen is a vital protein that plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our skin, hair and nails and is also beneficial for joint and bone health. We found this drink to be an easy and delicious way to incorporate collagen into our daily diet.

Ingredients:
1 teabag of Bigelow Green Tea with Lemon (Bigelow is our favorite brand, but any green tea will do)
1 scoop of Orgain Collagen and Superfoods Protein Powder (This is our protein powder of choice - feel free to use any flavorless or fruity flavored protein powder)
Juice of 1 lemon or 1 packet of True Lemon (True Lemon crystalized lemon packets are a non-perishable item so it’s easy to have on hand when you don’t have a fresh lemon)
Honey or Agave Syrup - optional (If you prefer your iced tea on the sweeter side)
Instructions:
- Boil hot water and pour into a 16oz to 24oz glass.
- Immediately add a scoop of protein powder while the water is still hot. Stir until fully dissolved. If you would like your iced tea on the sweet side, add in your desired amount of honey or agave (~1 tbsp should do the trick)
- Add in the tea bag and let the tea brew and cool. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, add either a squeeze of lemon juice or the True Lemon packet.
- Then, either put the drink in the fridge to become cold or pour over ice and enjoy!
